IN MOTION
Mr 2020 is now Petros K IN MOTION! After months of planning and anticipation, I am now putting IN MOTION my dream to climb the 7 summits of the world!
Since 2008, I have been lucky enough to work alongside the many great community leaders in the Central Queensland Region. From hosting the Rockhampton 2020 Youth Summit in September 2008 to engaging with the community via print, radio, television, internet and a good old fashioned Aussie style chin wag, I have lived and experienced the sense of achievement through helping others realise the importance of putting community values and needs first!
Whilst it has been difficult to implement some of the many great ideas and initiatives I have been involved with, I have also come to respect that empowerment doesn't necessary involve "seeing something getting built."
Over the next 3-5 years, I have committed to climbing the 7 summits of the world. During this time, I hope to showcase our regions tourism, businesses, sporting and non profit organisations, increase health and fitness, provide opportunities to help our youth, share my story to the world and support local charities.
From now and beyond 2010, I encourage each and every member of the community to stand tall beside each other like we are all playing on the same team.
Achieving what we want for our community is no different to climbing the 7 summits of the world. IN MOTION is about working with the community in real time and helping others to create change!
